Occupational therapy helps people achieve a lost or not yet available due to illness, injury or disability to act in everyday life. Functions and capabilities of a human being may be lost, for example, by a stroke or be formed in not sufficiently in children due to developmental disorders.

Capacity to act means that a person can accomplish the tasks in everyday life, ugh his life and society, satisfactory for themselves. The aim of the greatest possible autonomy and independence in everyday life, school and work is accomplished by various methods of occupational therapy

Objective of occupational therapy:

→ regaining and maintaining the capacity to act. In addition, the greatest possible autonomy and independence of aids and assistants is achieved.

The main treatment focuses on:

→ The ADL training (activities of daily living)

→ Provision of aids

→ Sensorimotor-functional therapy

→ the treatment of neuropsychological disorder

→ psychosocial therapy
